Why work with F2F?

Our people are not just babysitters/caregivers/nannies, they’re role models, mentors, an extension of your family. For us, it’s more than just babysitting, it’s about creating lasting connections and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Do you service all of the Twin Cities?

We try our very best to accommodate all requests, however, we specialize in the West Metro area (Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Wayzata, Edina, Excelsior, etc.) and cannot guarantee a placement outside of this area. Contact us with any questions regarding service area.

Why do I pay for a booking fee?

The Friend to Friend team will handle everything for you. From the moment you submit your request, we will match you with one of our thoroughly vetted, background-checked babysitters who is highly qualified to care for your children. Halee and Sydney conduct meetings with the babysitters to enhance their knowledge of childcare, drawing from their extensive experience in early education classrooms and over 13 years of babysitting. You are investing in the best of the best. Because, let’s face it, hopping online and being able to pretty much guarantee a trust-worthy & reliable sitter, 7 days’ in advance from any event, is a luxury service.

Will I always be guaranteed a babysitter?

We strongly encourage you to provide as much notice as possible when requesting a sitter. While we have an extensive list of babysitters with diverse schedules and are confident in fulfilling most requests, we cannot guarantee availability. You will not be charged if a babysitter is not found. We have not received a request that we have not been able to fill.

Will I be able to get the same babysitter all the time?

If your family has babysitters you absolutely love, we will do our best to match you with them. However, please note that babysitters' schedules can change, and many are young adults experiencing various life transitions. The earlier you make your request, the better the chance of being placed with your preferred sitter.

Who are your babysitters?

Our babysitters are friends, family, and coworkers who are very near and dear to our hearts. We have carefully selected individuals we know, who have a genuine love for being with children and are enthusiastic about babysitting & taking care of them.

Is there a cancellation policy?

As discussed during our intakes, we have a cancellation policy in place. Your placement is confirmed once payment is completed, as we start working on placements within the hour that they’re requested. The fees apply under all circumstances, including illness or unforeseen events. If you would like to cancel, a fee will be charged. The amount of the fee depends on how close to the scheduled date you cancel. We do not offer refunds.

Can I just contact my babysitter directly for another date?

All of our babysitters sign a non-compete agreement, which means they can only babysit through our arrangements. Therefore, please ensure that all bookings are made through us and not directly with the sitters. This helps us avoid putting them in an awkward position.

Friend to Friend members are prohibited from offering any and all jobs to any and all Friend to Friend staff, without it being through our arrangements. Client/member failure to follow this contract (which is sent out before first booking) will result in indefinite prohibition from using the services of Friend to Friend, LLC, and could result in possible legal action.

What are the hourly rates of each babysitter?

The hourly rates for babysitters/nannies varies per sitter. Rates will depend on what certifications/degree each sitter has. Our sitters are all CPR/FA certified, background checked, and have certain & additional qualifications. Because of that, our rates start at $22/hour but can be anywhere from $22-$25+

Can I give feedback?

All feedback is appreciated! If something didn’t turn out how you planned, please feel free to reach out to us.

I have a last minute request for tomorrow, can you fill it?

Although 7 days’ advance almost completely ensures we will be able to find you a sitter, we know emergencies happen where childcare is needed. Because of this, we do welcome last minute requests and will do our very best to fill it. You will not be charged a booking fee if a sitter cannot be found. What happens if there is a snow storm?

We do live in Minnesota so this is a definite possibility! We follow the school districts around us (Minnetonka, Wayzata, SLP) and their closures & delays. Should the district decide to close early, or cancel completely, we do not require any of our sitters to venture out in a storm. Safety is our number one priority. If this happens on a date you have requested, your booking fee will be refunded.
