We met while both teaching preschool in Minnetonka, following the craziness of the pandemic & our college graduations. Fast forward a couple of years, we both left teaching to pursue a career in corporate America. We quickly realized how much passion we had for kids, and the fulfillment that working with children truly brought us far surpassed anything and everything else we’ve done. Throughout the years we’ve cared for numerous families, and the connections we’ve made with them is why we do what we do.

Meet the Team

We carefully curated Friend to Friend based on these connections. Over time we noticed how big of a gap there is between dedicated nannies/babysitters, and families. Which is why as teachers we were always asked, “Do you babysit or know someone who can?” Our mission at Friend to Friend is to be more than a nanny/babysitter placement agency, but a community. We want to help you find the best people from our circle, known & trusted, by us, for you.
Our people are not just babysitters/caregivers/nannies, they’re role models, mentors, an extension of your family. For us, it’s more than just babysitting, it’s about creating lasting connections and a sense of belonging. It takes a village, let ours be yours.

    Ever since I was young, my dream was to make my mark on the world. Now, I’m thrilled to launch Friend to Friend, ready to make a difference for families across the Twin Cities. My babysitting journey started at 12, thanks to my incredible neighbors who believed in me. That experience taught me just how much it means to be that special someone in a child’s life. For me, going above and beyond is just part of who I am, and now I get to be part of helping build a whole community with that same heart.

    Growing up as the oldest in my family, I innately developed a nurturing spirit (and a knack for bossing my younger sisters around). I've been babysitting for as long as I can remember, and my love for kids naturally led me to become a preschool teacher. My experience has given me a deep understanding of not only what parents need in a caretaker, but what children need & how to best connect with them in a way they will thrive.

Our Requirements

Our vetting process is what we pride ourselves on, and extends way past just a typical background check or years on the job. Whoever you will be matched with, whether for one day or as a full-time nanny, you can rest assured they are the best of the best. But, don’t just take our word for it, we can prove it.

  • Authorization to work in the United States

  • Extensive (3+ years) verifiable experience in childcare

  • Empathetic, with a suitable demeanor for being around children

  • Attentive & reliable

  • Readiness to be thrown in and help out wherever is needed, bed time, light housekeeping, etc.

  • Passed a background check

  • CPR certified

  • First-Aid certified

  • Drivers License

  • Four year university degree (and beyond) completed, being pursued, or proven knowledge and experience with children’s growth, development, and age appropiate markers
